They are also inspired by Josef Stalin – who said “Those who vote do not have the power, those that count the votes have the power”. An example is the Wisconsin Supreme Court election – the last district to report gave the Republican just a little more than the precise majority to avoid a recount. I wonder if Stephen knows that there is a defensive play in Contract Bridge called a ‘Crocodile Coup’. This is where the first defensive partner plays a winning card to take the trick, only to have the second defensive partner override taking the trick by optionally playing a higher card – so that the second partner then controls the lead card of the next & potentially subsequent tricks. Usually a king is played on top of a queen. Sometimes the person playing the queen feels like Larry.
