I kind of feel sorry for the Rats. I think when you have a population that is already disgusted and angry, then you mix in a government or authority that is stiring up trouble people many times take it out on “middle management”. The Rats are acting as the Police and the Military, they are not responsible for a lot of what’s going on but they are the face of said government. They end up having to deal with whats going on… getting called to break up a bar fight and having a mob suround you; I imagine would make me nervous. Even Scared. One bottle thrown at my head and I can imagine someone might open fire… purposely or not.
I can see how everyone hates them… it’s easy to see. but honestly they are acting on orders for what they most likely believe is best for Endtown.
I liked Ben. A lot of these rats have shown real faces lately… emotions rather then faceless beings holding guns. One step over the run of the mill every topsider looks the same with their mask look.
Well this all happened rather quick didn’t it… he’s only been home a little while. and the whole Bliss adventure was a short period of time. they sure do grow em fast down there then…
Wow, just found this comic last week… spent a bunch of hours catching up from day 1 until now. This comic is by far a favorite. Great job. Love the black and white inking. Characters are awesome, fun and very deep. Great job Aaron Neathery!
