    Ann Eiffel is a con artist who is incapable of loving anyone (even her own child), yet Tiffany’s father is convinced she loves him, and is likely relying on her to help him navigate his sudden business troubles.

    I would wager the reason Tom finds himself cash-poor is that much of his wealth now resides in Ann’s bank account.
