    Happy Birthday, Lennie!

    …not “eat” ’em?

Moses didn’t have a daddy. He was an orphan.

There is no such word as forté, but forte does mean “loudly,” so speaking out loud might be done forte and still not be Gil’s forte. It cracks me up that Kia has named one of its models “Forte.” That translates to Kia Loudly. Kinda like the Chevy Nova, which is Spanish for “no go.”

    “Versus,” not “verses”

Hat makers used mercury in manufacturing, Hence, “Mad as a Hatter.”

Is that tattoo on both biceps?

That is one of the most creative strips I have ever seen! Bravo!

John and Scott, I just want to say that this strip is consistently funny and well crafted. I enjoy looking for the small creative things you work into the drawings. Every day, it’s a pleasure. Thanks for that!

Actually, I think Jimi performed the “Star Spangled Banner.” It was very early on Monday morning and almost everybody had gone home by then. I can’t imagine what it would be like to have gone to Woodstock but leaving before hearing this classic. That would have been one bad trip… .
