This is misleading. For a better understanding of this issue go to the Harvard School of Public Health. “In many large population studies, lectin-containing foods like legumes, whole grains, and nuts are associated with lower rates of cardiovascular disease, weight loss, and type 2 diabetes. [7-10] These foods are rich sources of B vitamins, protein, fiber, and minerals, and healthy fats. Thus, the health benefits of consuming these foods far outweigh the potential harm of lectins in these foods.”
I love how this is timely, controversial and funny. Should we condemn people from another century according to the standards of our time? More currently though, should we condemn people for mistakes made earlier in their own lifetime, especially if their behavior was considered unexceptional at the time? I am thinking here of a couple of Virginia politicians.
Bok is never funny. Never insightful. He does provide an example of the tortured logic employed by Trump loyalists, so there is that.
