   I just lost my pot-belly – he was the best but with a face only a mother could love. He made eating an art.

   I had to look it up but the same gag was used in Crimes of the Heart where Sissy Spacek kept trying to kill herself – ended up walking around with the chandelier around her neck.

   The young’uns are going to take over and hopefully fix most of the damage and then put us old farts in facilities where we cannot harm ourselves and others since we have been unable to grow-up to be anything but destructive.

   On another spin – why do squirrels wait until a car is coming to cross? I live in a rural area with a car going by like once an hour and lo and behold, squirrel takes off as it passes.

   Many have forgotten the history of the journalists who have made an impact on our country and the world. Recently the woman from the Miami Herald, Debra Brown(?), who exposed Jeff Epstein in Florida and then finally got the state of NY to go after him again after 5 years with new evidence she uncovered. Then there was Watergate, Monica Lewinsky affair, etc. Even in CA a journalist exposed an entire city council of embezzlement. My utility, PGE, is so going down by the reporting of “deferred maintenance” on power lines that have caused the fires now and from 2 years ago.

   No occupation is pure – that is why we have cognitive facilities to process information. Make up your own mind and live your life.

   I was in a major car accident in March. Spent 4 days in IC and another 3 learning how to deal with 2 broken arms, dressing myself, etc. My hospital bill was $500,000. As a musician, I didn’t have health coverage until the ACA. I am forever grateful that I did have coverage and I was able to get the best care without the worry of losing my home.

   Funny how the nay-sayers sound an awful like the folks who thought Social Security was a bad thing when it was enacted.

   I am thinking about the punning piano teacher who hid in the bushes/tulips. Reminded me of Monty Python’s exploding orchestra skit besides all of the great musical puns.
