The Bible itself doesn’t depict Heaven as a boring place where we sit on a cloud all day playing the harp. Neither will it be one long church service. Heaven will be more pleasing than our wildest imagination. Misrepresentations of Heaven are dangerous if they make people not want to aim to go there.
I think I shall unfollow this strip after years of following it. It has degenerated too far into bad sexual morals. It might not be as bad if it weren’t a comic strip that would attract the attention of young readers.
Bets & Gunther are pretty stupid for wanting their video to go viral. Word could easily get back to Gunther’s Mom. Plus I resent the path this strip is taking by condoning fornication. Gunther used to be a sexually pure guy until Bets browbeat him into having sexual relations with her just to prove he placed her above his mother. Do the cartoonists forget the arc where Luann thought Gunther and Bets were sleeping together and Gunther said they weren’t and was offended that she had thought so?
Although Greg Evans is showing some of the consequences for Bets and Gunther shacking up, I don’t feel he’s showing enough consequences for a poor life decision. I don’t like the direction this strip is going in lately in regards to sexual content. Steff and Kip are going at it like dogs in heat. A lot of kids read the comics pages, and the strip’s main demographic is young adults, and I don’t think either of those two groups should be encouraged to commit fornication. It’s a bad life decision that leads to unwanted pregnancies, STD’s, and broken hearts. Greg should be more responsible.

Aw, that’s sweet! I’m a hopeless romantic myself. I started following “Luann” a few years ago because I was lured in by Brad’s pursual of Toni. Saved every strip detailing their wedding ceremony.
Babs is really quite striking. Even prettier than either version of Uhura. Great chara design, Greg! I still hope Gunther and Luann become an item though. My parents started off as just friends.
I admit I was disappointed when Luann dumped her Aussie boyfriend for no apparent reason that I could see—although others unfathomably cheered her on when she did so—but after her and Gunter’s past heartbreaks, I hope they do get something going and it works for the both of them this time. I myself am all for the longtime friends becoming lovers bit.
Personally, I find this bit about Quill and Luann breaking up to be depressing. I’ve been following the strip daily for a while now, and Quill hasn’t been doing anything particularly idiotic. Yet we are supposed to think Luann is such a big girl for breaking up with him? Make one mistake and you’re through with this girl? She is so immature still.
