It’s really about overwhelming the hospitals. That’s the point of flattening the curve. Our wonderful healthcare industry spent years eliminating beds, now we are not prepared for a pandemic.
Down the road there may be unforeseen effects. Chicken pox-Shingles. Some polio survivors suffered effects later in life. So cover your mouth when you sneeze, wash your hands after bathroom use, wear your seatbelt while driving, shoes and shirts in stores…and wear a mask in public.
The shoes could be (what we called) nun’s shoes, a stable heel.
I love these old comics, reruns. They’re meant to amuse, distract. They don’t need all the analyzing but maybe some of the commentators do. My son did the same thing at that age, brings back memories.
