   Tobacco, alcohol and cars have killed as many if not more, some with the same lack of regard for others, some self inflicted some after teaming up with another on this list. My point is Cigarettes, whiskey and cars are only the instrument being used by short sighted people, guns are just instruments used by people, if the person has good thoughts and true aim, life is good.

   Leave Conservatives out of it, I served in a combat position along with 16 other women while the men stayed inside the wire guarding the detainees. Most rapes occur stateside, at bootcamp/schools or on ships at sea or at a TailHook convention in Vegas. Most women in frontline positions always carry a weapon for protection… hmmmmm gun control……

   I love to listen to books and music, it’s the only alone time I have to listen, without interuptions to what I like. Why does it sound like its a bad thing? I can still hear people coming up behind me, cars blowing by me, airplanes overhead and the occasional bird chirping.

    Not that anyone will read or heed, but Friends of the NRA committees raise money to support gun safety courses and gun programs for local schools, BSA, 4H, FFA, JROTC, and any program that takes the time to request assistance, through grants and donations. All moneys earned at Banquets are returned to the community through these grants and programs. The NRA is all about gun safety, gun ownership, gun rights and protection for law abiding gun owners and gun sports enthusiasts. This cartoon is offensive as are most of the other gun advocate cartoons or Tea Party cartoons. We are not the crazies this guy wants to portray. Lets address the high unemployment rate, the lack of mental health programs, the lack of guidance for todays at risk kids, the growing gang reality. Guns in the right hands are defenders of those who most need it, in the wrong hands they are no different than RPGs, machetes, cars, vests, IEDs, VBIEDS, ropes or base ball bats. Gun laws keep honest people honest and do nothing to stop the criminal intent.
