I don’t think there was ever a Tracy/other crossover until the current team took over. These are the characters I remember: Popeye, Barney Google, Brenda Starr, Terry & Pirates, Annie and her friends, Phantom, Mary Perkins, Jumble, Mr. Magoo, Funky Winkerbean, Fearless Fosdick, Lum & Abner, George Takei and vague references to Batman, Superman, Penguin. Of course, let’s not forget our own Vista Bill also.
Also regarding god-like powers, is it possible that Am can be killed? He did mention that having doubles makes HIS life safer. I know Perenelle stated that being long lived didn’t protect her from being killed. I never saw the Annie strips in which Am appeared so I don’t know the extent of what he can do.
I was thinking the same thing. It wouldn’t surprise me if Perenelle had a double also. I still wonder how the killer got past Double Up? Was there a secret entrance to her room? The Am double would probably know.
This is a really interesting story. There are so many variables and possibilities that I can’t even figure what seems the most plausible. I didn’t think I missed this but did they ever give any explanation of how Brush is still alive? Tracy didn’t seem surprised at all which is odd considering his death seemed definite. My assumption is that it’s the real Brush who got away before the blast but apparently someone else was in the area and took the explosion. Is this the last we see of him for awhile?
A couple years ago I suggested that Antarctica might be a good place for the lunar people to hang out. It’s the most isolated continent and has temperatures similar to the moon and we know moon people can tolerate cold. In the solar system we know there are no other planets with oxygen atmospheres and would require much terraforming to create that. In the 1960s Tracy episodes there was some air on the moon but that appeared to be gone when Tracy visited the deserted moon complex. Maybe loss of atmosphere was what caused them to leave.
I remember reading the Posie story originally. I haven’t seen it in a while but I seem to remember Posie having a wife who was also involved in the illegal business they had at the time. No mention of her. I also had a thought that I wonder if Diet Smith ever notified Mindy’s family to let them know what happened to their daughter? and what he was doing to help her? Of course Mysta is a adult and made the choice to remain as she is. Posie has no legal claim on her.
Ever since the new Moon Maid was identified as Mindy from the Posie story I was wondering when Posie would make an appearance. With the current trend of bringing back Gould villains I figured it was inevitable. I wonder what part he played in the transformation process? Did he know his daughter was being turned into a Lunarian? This should get interesting now to find out what his goal is.
Well, that was an explosive ending. I didn’t care much for the scenario but that was dynamite artwork the last few days. I think this was a good way to end it, though. Rikki’s still alive and might be of some use giving some info about Bribery. It’s good to see Pat get in some action for a change. I suspect it’ll be awhile before we find out what really happened to Kadaver. Unless some last minute surprise comes up I’d say this story is over.
Why are these detectives so careless? Remember when Tracy went boatriding into unknown territory alone during the night looking for Annie? How stupid was that? Now Pat goes out alone based on something that might not be true. Didn’t tell anyone where he was going or calling for backup. Mike has police experience. He should know police of this caliber would not be so careless.
