Thanks so much!!! This cartoon was cathartic to me. I work in a healthcare rehabilitation field and my job where I’ve been over 10 years recently got outsourced. While I have a temporary job w/the new company, it is on borrowed time. They do not seem to think I am doing the job they expect (they are primarilymoney minded over people minded, they have unrealistic expectations and they penalize you for doing aspects of what constituteses a good job), and despite not having a caseload to support hiring more people, they have just hired a couple others to do the job I do. And so it seems like I will have a good chance of being let go in the near future. Just yesteday one of my coworkers told me of the new hires and kindly warned me to hurry up and get my resume ready because someone is going to be let go..But like the PhilyFan person commented, this experience is uplifting..and in a way I am happy as I look forward to new opportunities in a new environment. I just hope to get rid of my current balloon handler soon, on my terms, ie I will get out of the balloon bunch and find a place where I will be appreciated for the good dedicated employee that I am! Anyway thanks for making this therapeutic cartoon!
