   That’s what I thought, until I went to do my state and local taxes, and found that I still needed the deductions. I had already filed my 1040, and had to go back and itemize. My tax would have been a little lower, had I itemized to start with.

   I’d be interested in trying that method, with a bit more info. What heat setting do you cook them, what temp. is your water for cooking (different methods use cold and boiling water), and is the time recommended to start with reaching a brisk boil?
