One of your very best editorial cartoons! Murdoch and National Geographic is an obscene mix and – worse – negates one of the few “crossover” voices where science interfaces with Republican ideologues. Thank you for taking notice of this very important development and commenting on it. What a shameful, greedy deal by NG and a real loss for real information as opposed to narrow-minded opinion.

Thank goodness that this cartoon places the blame squarely on the shoulders of the madmen who created our endless and pointless addiction to war. Bush and Cheney are inveterate liars and insane, violent traitors. Obama is no hero ratcheting up the craziness, but Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Wolfawitz (et al.) have doomed our nation to a dystopian future of constant fear (whether manufactured or realistic) and an economy based on oil and weapons production rather than facing up to the REAL challenge of global warming and climate change. And Clinton deserves a slap across the back of his head for yucking it up with Shrub.

What a stupid comic! The numerous flags showing SUPPORT for the Affordable Health Care Act might reasonably be considered to underscore the widespread awareness of the necessity of addressing the crippling health care affordability and eligibility issues. Your cartoon ITSELF eviscerates your intended portrayal of Obama as a socialist dictator. Unintentionally, you have undermined your own tired, pathetic, intolerant and narrow-minded argument. How sad!

Finally! Somebody “sees” Condoleeza for what she was (and Is). Great editorial cartoon – in the fullest sense of “editorial”. Thanks!

Great editorial cartoon. Captures the long term risks perfectly. Kudos to you Jeff!

I have followed Tony’s work for years on the NY times website and I just wanted to say: he is the BEST! Trenchant, witty, pithy, but most important, insightful, “deep” and timely. He consistently outclasses some other very fine cartoon artists by his uncanny ability to see beyond the trivial, cheap momentary political cycles and capture the prevailing Zeitgeist of our troubled times. His work is special because it touches on the larger, enduring foundational issues that threaten us. Today’s exceptionally clever cartoon is a perfect example. People like Tony and Jon Stewart and Michael Moore and Ralph Nader, et. al. offer the intelligence that may save us yet. Good luck to you Tony and keep on working, Man!
