   Many years ago (pre-Mash), at Camp Lejeune, one of my buddies, Dennis, borrowed another buddy’s paper back without asking. All of a sudden, Dennis went crazy, screaming and yelling-turns out the owner tore out the last few pages. Interesting times…

   I got used to running 3 miles very quickly at Parris Island, twice a day. That was over 50 years ago, though-no more 3 mile runs, but I have plenty of yard work, and still enjoy walking fast, even with a clogged artery on the back side of my heart. Drives me nuts when I get stuck behind slow walking people….

   I used to have a 45 with “Witch Doctor”-as I recall, done by Paul Winchell. while waiting at some years ago. A few years ago, waiting at my health provider office, I overheard one of the staff on the phone with a patient, who wanted an appointment. The staff member asked, “Which doctor?”, and I thought, “Wow! Talk about diversified medicine!”….

   6 years ago, I had to participate in the trial census. Website didn’t work so I did it by phone. “Besides you, was there anyone else at that address?” “Yes, my wife.” “Oh, you mean your spouse. Same or opposite sex?” Later, still fuming, I thought: What if your “spouse” is a schizophrenic hermaphrodite? “Well, I’m not sure-it depends on which personality is in control”.
