His resolution to make mistakes is pretty much a Neil Gaiman quote:

“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.

Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something."

There was an earlier Ebola scare, about 20 years ago, if I remeber correctly. No clue if the strip could be that old, tho.

My cat once killed a mouse by sitting on it. I wonder if that would work with a squirrel, too.

or you could just take the bicycle yourself…

panel three: “Rural journey seems total body workout please get the crisp extra veggies, or yoghurt light.”

Well, I tried. It even makes kinda sense, considering how much Janis likes walking. ;)

well, a quick google search for “tea chicken” will give you over 200 mio results in under a second… and yes, most of the other things you mentioned are pretty common, too. Except that most people prefer tea with rum, not whiskey.

actually, I kinda agree with the lady. If one can’t be honest with someone without humiliating them, maybe one should not be with that person. Not saying couples can’t disagree, but it’s perfectly possible to disagree and even fight without humiliating someone.

I’m glad to see Kat back in the strip a bit more lately :) not that I was bored with Heart and Dean, but I like Kat, too.

@ sandra mackin & legaleagle:actually, I think Zero-Gabrial has a point there. It is one thing to not get something because it’s unaffordable, too much, unreasonable or just not something the person giving the gift wants you to have. It’s a completely different thing to not get something you specifically wanted and get something “almost like it, but still wrong” instead. Just because the other person didn’t care enough, and could not be botheerd to get it right. That’s a lack of being cared about, and a very good reason to be disappointed.

And seriously – do you ever complain about anything? I bet you do. Well, that’s just as ungreatful. There’s always someone worse off. Even if you’re aware of that – no one manages to be happy with everything, all the time.

@hlagallah: agreeed, too. this is really getting annoying. As long as I’ve been reading Lio, and that’s about 5 or 6 years, Eva has done nothing but defend herself from a freakin’ stalker. I don’t find that funny at all. yeah, it’s just a comic, and they’re supposed to be kids and all that, but still…it’s the second time this year she gets abducted, and no, she’s done nothing to “bring that on herself”. It’s just – not funny.
