These times are difficult…you are not alone! Don’t forget that.

BBJ Speaking as an elderly old lady, what comes to my mind is that I hope I may be so fortunate to be able to say those words when it is my time…..

    And they have blue heads…hens!

He is trying to reconstruct his life and get rid of all the trials he’s had in the past…like analysis.

  5. almost 4 years ago on Gray Matters

Or as my dermatologist calls them…“decorations” and that’s not any more flattering!

  6. over 10 years ago on Candorville

For maybe the first time, I agree with Clyde. The law is harder on black folks…lest you mistake me, I am white and a southerner. No bias here at all, just lifetime of observation.

I liked this…I have a bit of Spanish and could figure the rest. Many fine Americans speak Spanish and do much of the work of this country…broaden your minds, xenophobes, and make peace with diversity and tolerance!

Corey Ford was a writer of humorous books in the 30’s and later. I assume Skippy means he hopes his wisecracks will feed him “pay his board” as in room and board. Maybe Corey Ford was a pal of the cartoonist.

Once when moving about 250mi. away with my two cats, they too stopped yowling after about 3 hours…I think they just settled down to meet death which they were certain was imminent. You could see in in their faces. I laugh now, but it was horrible to drive with them at the time!

Or a military history teacher named Major N. Counter?
