I am surprised at the negativity and nastiness of commenters of this strip. You all look for any excuse to badmouth every character, and Lynn herself. And you have no excuse for your behaviour. Lynn is a wonderful person, warm and kind and smart, and this is a perpetually award winning strip.

You should all be ashamed of yourself.

Do fascist trolls make unfounded ridiculous charges because they lack the intelligence to understand the truth, or because they believe that everyone else lacks the intelligence to see through their lies?

My guess is that it’s both.

Oh, I think that he’ll be remembered.

With one brilliant attack on the US he caused the US to sacrifice 5000 of its youth, waste 3 trillion dollars (including medical care for 50,000 disabled youth), murder a million brown people, create many million more potential terrorists and become the most hated country in the world.

His stated goal was to lure the US into a long war that would eventually destroy it. He accomplished that goal in spades.

But it’s not all bad; the very richest of the rich have increased their wealth profiting from the wars.

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfelt and the rest of the criminals thank God every day for what OBL has brought them.

Of course, OBL was a creation of the US in the first place, given arms, money and training when he was a “freedom fighter,” resisting the occupation of Afghanistan by the Russians.

I think that he’ll be remembered.

chrismaple, you make my point. You seem to have accepted torture as a legitimate tool of power.

But torture does not accomplish what you claim to be it’s aims, and it’s use is therefore to terrorize a population or to punish.

And effectiveness doesn’t trump legitimacy. Torture is never justified. There are national and international laws that recognize that. The US used to at least pretend to understand that, but your comment shows how far you have fallen.

And by, “behave badly toward the US,” you must mean that they resist having their resources stolen, their governments overthrown, brutal dictators installed and supported, their civilians murdered, their infrastructure and culture destroyed all by the US.

Yes I am biased - against any country violently manipulating the rest of the world in support of the wealthiest 1/10%.

    How sad.

At one time, Japanese soldiers were executed for waterboarding American soldiers. At that time, waterboarding was considered torture.

Now Americans waterboard captured brown people convicted of NO crimes, and the practice is now considered not torture, but just a punch line.

BTW, the rest of the world still views waterboarding as torture, and Americans as torturers. Welcome to the Dark Ages.

It’s so nice to see that very young children read the comics on line!

But why do adults never comment?
