New artists and writers have rebooted this strip back into something to be proud of. I may be the only one here who grew up on the “sci-fi” days of the 60’s DT, but with Diet Smith’s explanation as to why we no longer see the space coupes and other fun toys of that time, we are left with classic Tracy solving crimes with just enough tech to keep it cutting edge. Modern settings. Believable continuity. Great art. Great stories. Keep up the fantastic work, guys!
To Joe Staton and Mike Curtis- THANK YOU! I grew up with a steady Dick Tracy diet back in the sixties and seventies. Lost track of him for a few decades, then found him online about a year ago… but you gentlemen have restored the spark that was missing in the series I knew so well. Keep up the great work!
So what the heck happened to ye olde two-way wrist radio, wrist tv, or wrist mobile crime lab? The police are using cell-phones now?
While I’m glad the strip is still going strong, I miss some of the Diet Smith donations to the force that I’d been seeing since the sixties. I wish more papers carried it.
