You can have it good, fast, or cheap – pick two.

Believe it or not, it’s because a movie is an art form, and everyone who works on a movie is an artist in some form or another. Your discussion reinforces the need to point out that there is more to making a movie than a director and actors. A few seconds acknowledgement at the end of the movie is a small price for the audience to pay to realize that.

It’s also what we do in the performing arts (theatre, dance, etc…).

So if you have a problem with reading the credits leave when they start to roll. Otherwise why not marvel at the incredible number of artists it takes to create the entertainment you just experienced (and paid a pittance to watch).

Not sure what your comment says about you, Olongapojoe. Just because they are two professionals doesn’t mean they have the income to hire help. And who would they be able to find on such short notice? I know that if it wasn’t for the grandparents, my sister would have trouble managing these issues with her kids.

Chores always take a long time the first time you do them, especially if you are making it up yourself. Over time and repetition you create efficiency. Rick is probably trying to live up to an imagined standard (as he has never parented to this degree before), rather than asking Joannie how she does it.

From the Twin Cities you go west to Lake Wobegon, take a right at the intersection, head north. If you see signs for Frostbite Falls you’ve gone too far.

I think both are equally to blame here. They have both been bad about communicating with each other – a symptom of not spending enough quality time together. (Can happen to any couple.) Luann, dreams and plans built in your imagination are all yours until you share (and get buy-in) with your boyfriend. Quill, you need to discuss whatever is happening in your life with your girlfriend, especially when a decision is going to affect her or your relationship with her. So deep breath, decide if you still want to be together and, if you do, work together on building the relationship you want. And talk to each other!

This has been one of my pet peeves, too. “Pre-owned” (should) mean “new,” not bad short-hand for “previously owned.” First time I saw this was on a dealer ship for BMWs and other expensive cars. Knew what kind of buyer they were trying to appeal to.
