@Nelly55 My dad used to keep marbles in the freezer for the same purpose. The advantage being that they didn’t melt so you didn’t have to worry about the mattress getting wet, and marbles will roll so even if the person tries to shift to a new spot in the bed, they’ll follow. Plus, marbles are reusable. He kept the same set in the freezer for years, just in case.

I only skimmed the majority of the comments already posted, so forgive me if someone else has already pointed this out and I realize it’s towards the end of the day so few people will see this, but the general rule of the First Amendment is “Congress shall make no law…abridging the freedom of speech”. While the interpretation of that has been broadened in some ways, the general sentiment behind it remains that the right to free speech is in regards to Governmental limitations on free speech.GoComics is a private entity and not a law maker. It (and other privately run websites and businesses) is free to censor speech on its site without it infringing on anyone’s Constitutional rights. And Americans have the freedom to choose whether we want to be members of the site or to be customers at a business, etc. where our words might be censored by these private entities. Ain’t freedom grand?

@runar, actually, big cats are affected by catnip. If you check on youtube, you can find a video that a big cat preserve made of several of their big cats being given catnip. It’s quite fun to watch.

My dad actually favored keeping marbles in the freezer. If you didn’t get up when you were supposed to he just lifted the covers and dumped them in with you. They were cold, they would follow you when you moved, and they didn’t make the sheets or mattress wet.

@RinaFarina The “fourth wall” is an imaginary construct through which an audience is able to observe the action in a play, movie, or in this case, comic strip. It’s like if you’re watching tv, you can only see the three walls around the characters and are watching them through the fourth, which is your tv.

“Breaking” the fourth wall means that the characters do something that causes them to interact directly with the viewing audience. If you’re interested in a slightly more in-depth explanation (though I’m rather loathe to do suggest this), there’s an article on Wikipedia about it.

If it wasn’t for the mirror he’s holding, I’d say it almost looks like she sent him home to sit in time out.

$50 and a complimentary meal? Or does the $50 just cover the cost of the meal?
