secondly, the magen david is the most recognized jewish symbol, therefore the cartoon does criticize judaism, even if oliphant did not intend to.
thirdly, israel is a JEWISH STATE, (for those of you who did not know), therefore criticising israel automatically results in criticising judaism, to a certain extent. i do, however, understand and agree that the two (religion and state) need to be dealt with separately as the state is not run entirely according to the religion.
fourthly, to the person who said that the current problem in gaza is due to past mistakes by the israeli government: i suggest you have a chat with the arab leaders of the ‘palestinians’ who rejected the 1947 partition plan. yes thats right, because they did not want the jews to have any land, they refused land to their own people. i suggest looking up facts before blatantly stating what is thought to be the truth…
