Lumber, for example, has been in drastically short supply as the housing market boom caught the industry by surprise” … yet the U.S. Government (and lumber industry) keep hiking (asking) for more and more tariffs on Canadian lumber. I’m not an economist, so I guess I don’t understand this. I’d think this was the time a government would give lumber tariffs a rest, not prepare to raise them again.
