Another thing we need to do is stop complaining and come up with real tangible solutions. Complaining and placing blame is not as important as coming up with actual solutions. We need a plan such a plan will require long, hard, boring work all day every day for generations.
Well I think most people do mean well, it’s just that most people do not understand the the extreme complexities of politics, economics, technological logistics and how they are all interconnected in the long run.
What seperates us from the animals is the ability to think of future generations when calculating pragmatic utilitarianism. We can disagree on what that is and how to get there. Ideally we would use intelligent debate to settle these disagreements, we would use reason, logic, and rationality.
