   Andy is Wally’s nephew … I think it has been at least 6 years since he joined the strip. His parents never had time for him, used their work as excuses… but they took vacations and dropped Andy off with Wally … sort of forgot he was there… finally Wally asked if he could keep him, at Andy’s request. While Wally is harder on him than his parents, who didn’t care where he was or what he was doing at any time, Andy decided that he preferred Uncle Wally. Then Joan and Wally got married… Joan moved in with Wally (and Andy). Assumning I remember the storyline from way back. I think that Wally has adopted Max, but not sure. If so, then Max’s biological father is totally out of the picture financially.

   Elk cooks about the same as a good lean beef… if you do ground elk burgers, you would want to add a little beef suet, though, because it will fall apart if you don’t. I have cooked lots of elk, and even killed my own elk in 1984. Tasty.

   Parson 1 speaks just like my last b/f, who gave me a skillet as a combination Christmas/birthday/Valentine gift. I liked the skillet, just not the spirit in which it was given… It wasn’t even a hundred dollar skillet …

   Absolutely! Teach them that they cannot depend on someone else to take care of them, and you have done them the biggest favor that they will EVER get! After all, her husband (their father) died, so hopefully they will get the message.

   Picky picky. Why can’t people just enjoy the comic? Mormon missionaries are not ALL male … young women serve their church, also. I don’t know why they seem to be noticed so much less. And often retired couples serve. I’m not Mormon, but I learned a lot living in Utah off and on for 23 years…

   The president can only SUGGEST a budget. Congress decides what really goes and doesn’t. And the President cannot keep a war going without Congressional approval, either. Stop blaming presidents for what Congress does. They gave themselves fat raises, do not depend on Social Security, and have large staffs that are very well paid by the government, not by the Senators and Representatives themselves. If their staffs’ pay came out of there personal money, they would not be so large… and probably more efficient. Now… on with the comics. :-)
