Oh no! Fishy wasn’t in his bowl!!

These kind of situations drive me crazy, because they only happen in movies/TV/comics: A character has one short sentence of information to impart, but says something like "No, wait, listen to me, I have to tell you this very important thing — " or like here “I’ve gotta save it before I get in trouble!” “[I’m] the opposite of selfish”

In real life, someone would never spend all this time asking to be allowed to say the thing, or talk all around the thing without really saying it. The person would JUST FLAT-OUT SAY THE VERY IMPORTANT THING!

Sheesh, Poncho should just say “Fish is in the vacuum cleaner!!!”

So the opposite of selfish is goldfish?

I’ve got to say, Poncho is just becoming an a-hole and isn’t much of a character any longer. Too bad, used to be a funny strip.
