If a fox can live a thousand years it can become a mystical creature. At least in Japan.

Up until the time I am writing this, there has been, so far, just one comment concerning this strip, namely about a fox who could live a thousand years. Some of you who have been following this strip may recall that, back on November 3, after a color strip had been languishing since the previous July (the artist indicated that it would be the series’ last new panel, or something similarly said), GoComics began rerunning vintage Pinkerton strips, only for these to cease after November 17. Since that time, a number of holidays and special events, among them Thanksgiving, the winter solstice, Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, and last week’s Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, have all come and gone, but why, after these more than past two months, have these Pinkerton re-posts not yet resumed? (I had been expecting these re-posts to continue beyond November 17, but this has not been the case.) How many who are or may be reading this post are, or have been, looking upon the above “Fun Fox Fact #27” strip as a potential or possible eyesore, given the length of time it has been (66 days as of today) since it was posted? Is there any possibility that any further Pinkerton strip reruns may be posted on GoComics in the foreseeable future? Any comments regarding this would be most certainly appreciated.

As of today, it has been thirteen days since I posted a comment about reruns of the Pinkerton comic strip, and there has been one additional comment published on GoComics since, but, as of today, these reruns have not resumed. Why not resume these reruns of the strip under the title “Pinkerton Classics”, at least for the sake of those who, like myself, have enjoyed this strip until the last first-run strip this past July, and then the fifteen reruns that were published from November 3 to November 17? Wouldn’t this be a rather welcome idea?
