Charlie Brown, wearing his furry hat, approaches Schroeder. He says, "Beethoven couldn't Possibly have been at the Alamo.."(BR) (BR) He shows Schroeder a book and continues, "This book says he was never in the United States! There!"(BR) (BR) Charlie Brown walks away, smiling smugly. Schroeder watches him go and says, "Well, I'll be! How embarrassing.."(BR) (BR) He blushes to the reader and exclaims, "I always thought Beethoven was a native of Minnesota!"(BR) (BR)
Beethoven died nine years before the Mexican Army took over the Alamo from the Texan defenders.
