Man: I read this report by one of our mid-level managers, and it really takes the company's economic downturns to as... Man 2: Yessir. Man: It's quite forceful, straightforward and doesn't pull any punches. No one is spared from criticism, including me! Man 2:Indeed, sir. Man: But he follows up each negative with a positive solution! This is just the kind of assertive, strong-willed, independent thinker that we need to move the company forward! Give this guy a raise and a promotion before we lose him!! Man 2: Uh...not him, sir...her. Man: Now that I read it more carefully, it comes off as rather bitchy, doesn't it? Man 2: Yessir. Shall I cite the standard excuse of our economic downturn for her dismissal.
