There are two stories in the news that, when juxtaposed are telling. One is a shooter in the Fort Lauderdale airport who mowed down 13 people with a gun, killing five. He should not have even the slimmest possibility of having another person’s life or safety in his hands ever again. The second is Charles Manson who, 47½ years ago, unleashed a savage, brutal killing rampage on innocent people. He’s now an old man with medical issues that we are paying for. We’ve supported his safety, sustenance and medical costs all these years and now it’s about to get expensive. I don’t want us to be supporting this Fort Lauderdale madman, or any similar deviant, the same way as we’re supporting Charles Manson.
