There is an upside to the pandemic. The women in our church (yes, everyone who is doing this is a woman) have a cottage industry going to make cloth masks. The take pride in their work and make very attractive masks.
The design calls for a different colored cloth on each side of the mask so you know which side has been worn “out.” So every mask is reversible (after a good washing). However they also design masks with floral patters and even cartoon and superhero masks for the kids. The kids are better than some adults. They think it’s fun to wear a mask.
I think we passed the thousand-mask mark last week.
My wife and I are in supply chain and distribution. My wife has fabric which we bring to people who have run out. We collect the masks, wash them and package them. Then at times we take the car downtown and park on a side street. Another car pulls up. We hand the booty over to a representative from some agency that needs them and the cars drive off.
