When unarmed #BlackLivesMatter protesters had a well-publicized PEACEFUL rally in Washington DC, NOT at the Capitol but in Lafayette Square, a public area commonly used for peaceful demonstrations or protests, rows and rows of heavily-armed federal officers in full riot gear not only secured the Capitol and all major monuments, but even used tear gas, flashbangs, injurious projectiles and other violent means to clear the square of PEACEFUL protesters so the president could walk across the square to hold a Bible he did not own and has never read, upside down in front of a church.
When white supremacist Trump supporters — the same ones Trump publicly called on, not to stand DOWN, but to stand back and STAND BY — DID march, with weeks of advance notice in which they were told to come armed and prepared to get “wild,” NOT unarmed (they were heavily armed), NOT in a public square commonly used for peaceful protests, but MARCHING ON THE CAPITOL WHILE IN SESSION PERFORMING A CONSTITUTIONALLY-MANDATED DUTY, there were NOT rows and rows of heavily armed federal officers in full riot gear to secure a perimeter outside the Capitol, there was NO TEAR GAS while the violent armed mob was still outside in the public areas, until after significant numbers had breached the building and were inside, in the rotunda, in Statuary Hall, IN THE CHAMBERS of both the House and Senate, in congressional offices including the Speaker of the House.
The response to #BlackLivesMatter PEACEFUL protesters in DC and violent thugs trying to start a Civil War to overthrow the U.S. government, incited by a corrupt wannabe dictator, was vastly different.
All TrumpubliKKKons who supported the attempted overthrow of the government or of an election they clearly and decisively lost, whether on the House and Senate floor in seeking to disenfranchise millions of Americans, or as participants in the actual violence, have no place in our country.
