“Let me be completely clear again that I unequivocally condemn Hamas’ use of rape and sexual violence as an act of war,” Jayapal said in her latest statement. “This is horrific and across the world, we must stand with our sisters, families, and survivors of rape and sexual assault everywhere to condemn this violence and hold perpetrators accountable.”

Would the deaths of 5000 Palestinian children help? I suspect not.

Meanwhile innocent people in Palestine are being killed by bombs and bullets from Israel.

An Amnesty International investigation revealed that US-made munitions were used in two Israeli air strikes in Gaza in October that killed 43 civilians.

Since we are correctly and justly calling out physical violence and rape in wartime against women, could we have an editorial cartoon calling out Russian soldiers’ rape of Ukrainian women since the beginning of that war?

F.Y.I., Republicans in the Senate are denying Ukraine more funds that are needed to keep fighting Russia and their attempted takeover of the democratic nation of Ukraine.

Just remember, it was Putin that trained Hamas to be the savages they have become.

The violence against women isn’t just for the fear factor, etc. It also keeps anyone in Hamas that is having second thoughts and wanting to leave Hamas in line, as they are all now war criminals. They also know what they did in Israel and to the hostages in Gaza, will be done to their families if they try to leave Hamas. About the only way they can get out is to be killed in battle or commit suicide.

It must be remembered all the deaths Palestinian, Israeli, and any foreign nationals that had the misfortune to get caught up in this mess all fall to Hamas. However, the far right lunatic Israeli settlers that are destroying property, not allowing Palestinians to harvest their crops on their own property in the West Bank, are becoming equally culpable. Netanyahu and his far right lunatic fringe friends have to accept a lot of responsibility or this whole situation as well. Sadly, the majority of Israeli’s have to take some responsibility as they kept electing a far right wing nut as their leader. It’s going to be a hard road out of this situation for the next leader.

Perhaps, some responsibility to the Arab nations that refuse to give asylum to Palestinians and seem keen to have them wiped out as well. I think they didn’t like how the majority of Palestinians get/got along with their Israeli neighbors.
