There goes Michael Ramirez again, proving he knows nothing of socialism and even less of world geography.
Why is it that the extreme right (who supports socialism for themselves — corporate welfare, government handouts, subsidies and “incentives” to billionaire owners of sports teams or massive corporations to attract them to their cities — but not for people who actually need it) always points to corrupt authoritarian dictatorships such as Cuba, North Korea, the former USSR or Venezuela, which may CALL themselves “socialist,” but have ZERO resemblance to actual socialism?
Why don’t they point to countries that have high levels of ACTUAL socialism (medical care without fee for service, deductibles, copays; universal tuition-free education through college; excellent social safety net; corporations [such as IKEA, Nokia, Volvo, Skype, Ericsson, Saab] that are highly taxed and regulated and still profitable) and are extremely successful and happy, such as Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Canada, New Zealand, Finland, Iceland or the Netherlands?
Why do they accuse Democrats of supporting policies that failed in Venezuela and the old Soviet Union based on their MISUSE OF LABELS, while they worship a criminal UNELECTED “president” who was installed by an actual communist — a proud former top KGB officer who specialized in using KOMPROMAT to cultivate witting or unwitting (or in the case of Trump, half witted) assets.
See which one trusts a KGB asset manipulator and then talk about who is the communist.
CONservatives want all the REAL socialism for themselves but demonize it for anyone else and compare it to failed STRONG-ARM DICTATORSHIPS that have more in common with what Trump aspires to be.
