There will always be rich just as there will always be poor.

Actually, I like the idea of eating the goose that’s been wolfing down more that its share of the grain and keeping all the eggs for itself.

I could be wrong but my opinion of this strip is Barry is basically cooking the country and its not directed at just the rich. The USA is the most successful country in history and the question is how good is Barry for the country’s future. I guess history will answer that question. For me my avatar tells it all. Have a great day.

“What will the liberals do when there are no more rich to tax?”

Considering that the US has had higher taxes in most of its post-WWII history and still had rich people, I don’t think we need to worry about that anytime soon.

Let’s see, the proposal is for a 4% increase in the maximum tax rate on the “rich”. To match the Eisenhower period of huge national growth, the rightful increase in the maximum would be over a 50% rate increase, AND elimination of 80% + of the deductions available.

Yes the poor, downtrodden “goose” is in trouble. The real problem is all the years the wealthy have been enjoying pate, from their force fed goslings buying their “line”.

For some strange reason, reducing taxes on the wealthy more than on everyone else is not class warfare, but increasing those taxes on the wealthy back to where they were IS class warfare.

^Hmm, and the “righties” here have become victims of Rush, GOP, “Reaganomics”, etc taking them hostage for the last three decades, and they’ve taken sides with their captors as a result of “Stockholm Syndrome”???

Obama and his ilk are the real Goose in this cartoon. The Golden Goose represents Free Enterprise which gives Opportunity for each citizen to try to make the most of his/her talents to earn a decent living income.-Socialists want to Kill the Goose and stop all those Golden Eggs from being ever produced again.-Socialism is the Equal Sharing of Poverty.Big Daddy Government is the Slave Owner of recipients of government’s “benefits”….Debt is a Slave Master, and Welfare is the Slave Plantation.

@UlanBut that’s the thing, isn’t it? The rumors never are true. Obama was rumored to be Kenyan-born. He was also rumored to be a secret socialist/communist. I’m a Republican and I can admit that none of those are true. Now, the question is, can YOU, a liberal, admit that not everything you’ve heard off of CNN or MSNBC is true?

lol, lol! Here’s a link from 2008 complaining about . . . the price of goose!Of course, it’s absurd to assume that the president (any president) controls ‘geese prices’ . . . but I guess if you hafta, you’re gonna hafta blame Bush . . . http://www.discusscooking.com/forums/f15/price-of-goose-what-happened-52104.html

Unfortunately, this comic is too true of what’s about to take place in this country. The left really believes they have all the answers and that it only requires implementing THEIR laws and policies and all will be well. The government knows what’s best for us all. All we need to do is look at Greece or France to see where we are headed. There is no real reason for us to keep working at our daily jobs. All will be provided for. Yeah for us!

As Swedes have found out some time ago, and the French are now finding out, the richest Swedes were actually Swis, which is exactly why Sweden has dramatically reduced its top marginal tax rates..The biggest problem with the 0bama strategy is its lack of honesty – the tax on ‘wealthy’ is actually tax on CAPITAL – you know the one that is needed to fund CAPITALISM..0bama is correct in saying that the ‘wealthy’ can afford to pay more in taxes. My lifestyle will not be affected a bit by those higher taxes, but there will be less money for investment, and considering the fact that we are witnessing the lowest level of new business formations in over 30-years, can we, as a country afford such conversion of Capital into Government poooooop?.The 47% that pay no federal income tax, together with the guilt ridden elites and other parasites have decided that redistribution of Capital is a good idea . . . . is this the end of American Capitalism – it maybe the beginning of the End, as some of the heretofore most productive American Capitalists are turning to other shores to practice their dirty craft.
