Kerry did serve our country in the Vietnam War, and now he’s serving again, but in a peaceful role! Nice job, Mr. Wuerker!

I remember my Republican neighbor “dissing” Kerry by saying Kerry was too intellectual. sigh

So far, I’m completely impressed by the competency of the people with which President Biden is surrounding himself – it seems each president is surrounding himself with intellectual “equals” – Trump loved having people around him whose ONLY purpose was to bolster his feeling of self-worth, while Biden is more interested in having people available that are knowledgeable on various areas that will help further the government’s ability to further its goals.

President-elect Joe Biden has appointed John Kerry as his special presidential envoy for climate, underscoring his commitment to tackling the global crisis and offering a symbolic rebuke to President Donald Trump’s lack of leadership on the issue.

Kerry, who was President Barack Obama’s secretary of state, will be a Cabinet-level official in Biden’s administration and will sit on the National Security Council.

“This marks the first time that the NSC will include an official dedicated to climate change, reflecting the president-elect’s commitment to addressing climate change as an urgent national security issue,” the Biden transition team said in a statement on Monday.

Kerry is married to Teresa Heinz, who was tight with Fred Rogers. he also went to prep school with Mueller.
