John Boehner, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Iranian hardliners hold up a banner that reads "Say no to the no good, horrible, rotten Iranian nuclear deal!" They are all scared of it.
But the republicans (and I am sure that none has read the treaty, as none read ACA, because you’re going to vote No whatever it says) don’t realize that Iran would just not sign anything that gives them nothing. 51st state, anyone?
If you don’t know whether the treaty is good or bad, you can check what the nuclear arms control experts say. Not one of them agrees with Bibi or his GOP congressmen that it will allow Iran a pathway to a bomb: it blocks Iran from getting a bomb for 15 years. Without it, they could have one in a year or two. There are some useful discussions at VOX. .Steve Benen has a useful metric: can you find a single person opposing the Iran deal who was correct in 2002 that invading Iraq was a bad idea? He’s been looking, and has failed to find a single one. Opposition to the Iran deal is based purely on partisanship, not on substance.

If both sides are not totally happy with this deal, doesn’t that indicate a fair one?

If IRAN always lies and they said that they got every thing they wanted and they were delighted ; enough said.
