DA's Office Strauss Kahn Case. Spokesman: Without evidence, we couldn't base our actions on a defendant's reputation alone. DA's Office Strauss Kahn Case. Voice: What about the testimony of the plaintiff? DA's Office Strauss Kahn Case. Spokesman: Have you heard that woman's reputation??
As you all know, french is my first language and I catch news bulletins from France once in a while. I was ABSOUTELY DISGUSTED by the way the French media (and french-wannabe acadian pundits) treated this case. The guy was a member of the artsy-fartsy french socialist party, therefore, since he went to that college, is friends with this actor, with that philosopher, this author he is everything that makes France great and therefore, if he did raped, it wasn’t that bad and we shouldn’t “deprive la mère-patrie of such an excellent citizen”, especially not over an african.Feel like throwing up, yet?Overall, they acted with all the condecendence they are known for, as if it’s again the puritanical americans getting their panties in a wad over someone’s sex life.
That wasn’t the Lewinsky scandal, that was rape.
