A certain political party in the US has recently been complaining about the amount of aid we have been giving to Ukraine. Since we have the most insanely large military budget in the world, I’d like to mention that this budget is not to protect us from an invasion by Panama, or Mexico or Canada. The United States is only confronted and threatened by two major foreign military adversaries: China and Russia.

I am happy that my tax dollars are being used to support a democratic ally Ukraine against an unjust invasion by Russia, and I would support even more aid than now. We can absolutely afford to knock out ONE of our two most dangerous foreign adversaries especially if we could do it without American troops. Domestic adversaries is another topic.

We didn’t give a dime to Ukraine that wasn’t Congressionally approved.

This cartoon is missing the Ukrainian tractor that is pulling the tank over to the Ukrainian side for salvage.

Ukraine is a pile of rubble. Russia is virtually unscathed. Weird definition of “failure”.

Pretty soon the post WW2-era T-54s and T-55s that the Russians are unmothballing will be looking like that before they even enter the fight.
