I’ll confess, I own an AR-15. I purchased it because it’s a rifle I was very familiar with (at the time of purchase I was Active Duty). Ammo was dirt cheap, and I liked going out to the firing range (rarely have it out of the pelican case nowadays). I also built an LR-308 (DPMS version of the AR-10), again I built it because I was familiar with the rifle. It’s used for hunting, as it’s very accurate (one shot one kill). I keep them in a case, and remove the firing pins, until I use/clean them. I also have an over-under 12GA, 45/70, .22, and a 1911. I’m not disagreeing with the comic, but there ARE responsible gun owners out there.
