How do you tell your wife that you just found out that you might be the biological father of your adopted son, but the adoption is invalid because the other possible biological father\, the former legal father, lied about who the mother is? So he can’t give away the birth-mother’s rights. And if the adoption is invalid, he retains legal status as father because he has raised him since birth.
So you aren’t your adopted son’s mom, and I’m not my own son’s dad. More coffee, dear?
