I still think that families ought to be able to claim them as dependents with this stupid ruling.

Did the ASC decide what their sex was? They ARE persons, right?

I do believe there’s really nothing worth knowing that can be printed on something the size of a bumper sticker .(Larry Norman)

So if those zygotes are “children”, as decreed by a self-righteous bible-thumper in robes, then the parents ought to declare them all as dependents on their taxes.

Those “babies” probably have some rather interesting names, though, probably with alphanumeric nomenclatures on each vial as inscribed by the clinic.

The theocrats have spoken, and they have made the point that McCorvey vs Wade should have stayed the foundation of the law on abortion.

Abandoned at “birth” and then left to freeze without a nurturing parent anywhere near. Arrest those parents says the judge! (And for a few of our regulars I better add an /s.)

If you put a baby in a freezer, it will die. If you put an embryo in a freezer it does not die. An embryo has the potential to BECOME a baby, but is NOT currently a baby.

Not only does the judge say that, so does the school unions and Child protective services.

Tell me again why those without medical licenses or advanced degrees in biology are allowed to determine when a collection of cells is legally a person.

“… The Alabama Supreme Court has had an unusually high turnover in the chief justice position, going back to October 1995. Since then, the post has been occupied by eight different individuals for nine different time periods. Not one of these individuals has completed an entire term of six years.

Perry Hooper Sr., elected in 1994, did not assume the office until October, 1995, after a protracted election contest that prevented him from taking office until nine months into the term. He was succeeded by Roy Moore, who was elected in 2000 but removed from office due to violations of the judicial canon of ethics. Associate Justice Gorman Houston acted as temporary chief justice during Moore’s suspension but before his actual removal from office. After Moore vacated the office, the Governor appointed Drayton Nabers Jr. Sue Bell Cobb defeated Chief Justice Nabers in 2006. Cobb resigned for personal reasons in the middle of her term. Her replacement, Chuck Malone was appointed on August 1, 2011, by Governor Robert Bentley but was defeated for re-nomination by former Chief Justice Roy Moore in 2012.

Moore assumed the office a second time beginning in January 2013, and was again suspended from office on May 6, 2016, by the Court of the Judiciary. Associate Justice Lyn Stuart became chief justice on April 26, 2017, when Moore formally resigned from the seat from which he was already suspended. Moore then sought election to the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions for which a special election was held in December 2017. …

This is what goes on when the government is here to help you because they have deemed that we are incapable of making our own decisions for our own lives.

I wonder if there will be a tsunami of blood-sucking carpetbagger shysters invading Talibama when (not if) a hurricane strikes, generators fail, and mothballed IVF clinics are flooded.

Those test tube cells are not babies nor are they even fetuses yet. They are just a combo of cells.

An Alabama Judge was killed by his son. Post partum abortion still rules.

Something tells me that a couple that would lock a child away in the freezer would never care to bring them up.
