Obama’s “debt ratio” after 1 year. Lulz. I forgot that our trillion dollar deficit just magically sprung up when he took office. He still has 3 more years, Sweet cheeks. So far history has proven that Republicans are the ones who balloon the deficit. Reagan was one of the most major culprits. If you look at Clinton’s graph, it goes up at the start, and then gradually comes back down to be lower than when it started. Bush’s just goes up.
We’ll see. Until then, stop reading Texas textbooks, you don’t determine 4 years on 1 year of extraordinary circumstances, circumstances he walked into, that were present when he took the oath.
The basic principle of CAPITALIST business is you have to spend money to make money. The Republicans spent money, and contractors and corporations MADE money- lots of it, and WE, the taxpayers, were left with the debt. The current spending for job creation IN PRIVATE INDUSTRY AND SMALL BUSINESS is intended, and likely to relieve that debt, but it will take some time to have an effect.
It is suspect that the bills that grant further tax breaks to corporations always get Republican votes.
The Democrats are the party of restrained public spending, and if they are forced to, usually by the pend happy Republicans, to enact some social justice legislation - they at least find a way to pay for it, by Martians.
You’re trying to argue “projections” with facts? I love how when I scoured the tubes for debt pictures, all of the Republican ones I found were focusing on “future” debt.
In FACT, Look what I found from a Republican source

Yay for “estimated.” But look at those Republican Presidents to the left and right of Clinton (and Carter, even). Hmmmmmmm.
The Health Care Bill already has Deficit reducing power by CBO estimates. But I still find it interesting that no steps were taken to reduce the deficit during the Rubber Stamp Congress a few years ago. I thought Republicans were conservative spenders…………….. LoL no I’m just kidding. :)
