The FDA has rules already in place that require food manufacturers (when did we start talking about manufacturing food?) to truthfully label what they’re selling. For instance, that orange crap in a can cannot be called “cheese”, so they sell it as “cheeze whiz”. Similarly for heavily processed hake with pink dye and artificial flavor being called “krab”.
All Mississippi has done is extend that to products (when did we start talking about “food products?” ) that weren’t already “protected” by those rules.
