It’s been gaining for the last 2 years. Christmas is just it’s big annual push. But folks still seem to fall for the seasonal hype and dig themselves into deeper debt anyway. Wonder if a frugal Christmas or 2 might help children to understand current family financial problems and actually begin to appreciate when thing improve?

If folks showed some restraint, the prices would come down, but we need that instant gratification for some reason.

With a new mini majority in the House the GQP has signaled it’s ready to knuckle down and get to work fixing…Hunter’s laptop.

There are some items like food that we must buy. However, as long as we are willing to pay any price to have what we want, capitalism is willing to accommodate us.

Corporate profits and CEO bonuses are through the roof this season.

But the government can’t tell private corporations what to do unless those corporations are woke.

Yeah, yeah, yeah; cry and complain about inflation. And then go out and set new records for spending on Black Friday.

These days, people don’t know what sacrifice means! Stop buying Starbucks and make your own coffee! Pack a lunch! Carpool! Entertain at home!

    Been there, done that!

Just hope the railroads don’t strike!

According to reports on the beginning of the biggest shopping season of the year, spending does not appear to be affected. Inflation sure hasn’t dented Taylor Swift concert sales. I’ve heard people willing to spend 4 figures for a ticket.

And.. we are collectively doing our best to keep inflation strong. After 2~3 years of covid related shortages.. we are now making up for lost time/purchases.. paying whatever it takes.. and thus, creating inflation.

The evening news programs have all been gloating how much shoppers have spent during “Black Friday,” “Small Business Saturday,” and “Cyber Monday.” Nobody seems to be putting their money where their mouth is.

(It’s all going into the till.)

    Not to worry, Stahler.

In January Republicans, led by Kevin, Gym Jordan, and Perjury Taylor Greene, are going to investigate Hunter Biden.

They will also investigate how the FBI planted top secret documents in Mar-a-lago that Trump now says he has every right to take, because other presidents were never raided.
