I beginning to think they don’t put a lot of value on “schooling” either.

Eric “Busey” Trump has stated that this freeze was caused by Biden policies. I can’t figure out which one, is it Biden’s complete control over the weather, or the fact that he caused the infrastructure to break down despite Texas’s deregulation specifically shutting out Federal influence?

Next calamity that Texas going to have to face is the re-naming of Ft Hood. Maybe the state legislature can do something about that impending tragedy.

Not every State can be as well run as California or New York.

And to think, for decades, most textbooks came out of Texas… No wonder Americans have no sense of history or civics, and we fall in the middle or lower end of global testing in math scores. Don’t even get me started on the belief, lack there of, of science! Textbooks for higher education are a completely different matter.

And to think, the educationalists in that state made me repeat first grade because my birthday is in October! We moved to Texas from Rhode Island! Now, my older brother, with a November birthday started “late” because he started in Virginia, so he was on the Texas schedule. When we moved to Connecticut, and he scored off the charts on a standardized assessment, he was allowed to skip sixth grade! (I still haven’t recovered from my shame at the hands of Texas Public Schools!) ;-/

I discovered today that the directors of the energy provider ERCOT don’t live in Texas. How can that even be possible…oh, wait, Texas Republicans.Ted Cruz is Canadian. I think he has dual citizenship, so that makes him “white” enough. Beto O’Roark when running for president was asked a question in Spanish. Beto answered in Spanish. That cost him the election.

Texas used to be a Democrat state. Schools were a lot better. I’m 81 now and can’t drive. So I have to depend on others for a lot of things.I tell them I don’t vote, I just vote by mail.I have one friend in his 50s who knows I am a Democrat. He hasn’t called but twice since November, once to tell me Biden hadn’t won the election and then called once last week, “to see if I was ok.”The main friends I depend on, I tell them that I don’t watch the news and don’t vote.Otherwise they would evaporate, too.

I’d day that this is a PERFECT example of Texass Thinking, except that “Texass Thinking” is an Oxymoron, like “Jumbo Shrimp”, “Planned Accident”, and “Military Intelligence”. Those words are Mutually Exclusive of each other!
