When Israel invaded Lebanon in the 1980s, I recall an editorial cartoon where an Israeli officer was asking a tank officer…Why did you stop? Was it tanks, aircraft? Hordes of Lebanese with anti tank weapons. The tank commander says…One US Marine. The marines had stopped the Israeli forces from crossing lines set by the UN. A few weeks later, the barracks blew up and over 200 Americans died and we left. Lebanon suffered.Israel is a great nation. Sometimes their government sucks. Sounds like…hmmm….let me think.Thoughtfully,C.

Outside the one token Socialist senator, three parties control congress: Democrats, Republicans, and the veto power, Likud.

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2013/01/15/Schumer-Defects-From-Pro-Israel-Cause-Backs-Hagel-for-Defense-Confirmation-Likely-IMO Schumer is no longer the driver for Israel leaders.By supporting Hagel, Schumer is now working to put a proven unfriendly politician to Israel in charge of gutting the US military in the DOD, and a waning support for the Jewish nation that Truman instantly supported in 1948, in the tradition of our Founding Fathers who were always supportive of Jewish people. One Jewish banker saved the 1776 Revolution by providing funds to Washington’s Army.-I want a Pro-Israel and Pro-USA person heading DOD.

Hagel simply stated the truth. If Israel wants to PROVE they have a right to exist, they were after all created as a modern nation BY THE UN!, then the need to stop attacking and invading their neighbors, and WE need to STOP regarding Netanyahu as governor of our 51 state. It IS significant that close to a majority of ISRAELIS, do NOT support Netanyahu, the advancing “settlements” and denial of the rule of international law.

Hopefully Hagel will be a voice of reason in the DoD. We should pull away from the neo-con world domination matriz and toward a more balanced view of the worlld. We have succeeded in burning too many bridges. Obama’s unreported performance in Phnom Pen in November was horrible.http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Global_Economy/NK27Dj02.html
