Ain’t that the truth.
Didn’t Stalin say that?
It annoys me when the news readers (They are NOT journalists) describe some mass killing (Let’s call it what it is, people.) as a tragedy. It IS tragic, but it’s not a tragedy. A rollercoaster falling off of the tracks is a tragedy. A commuter train derailment is a tragedy. Some idiot with an AK (I DON’T blame the AK) in a shopping mall is not a tragedy. A tragedy, at it’s source, is an accident, or at most a negligent occurrence. Intentional killing is a heinous act, no matter the scale. (Even if the Oxford Dictionary disagrees with me, this is what I believe.)
