The “Gatekeeper” looks suspiciously like actor Frank Nelson.

Why do we never see the giant pearl those gates are made out of? A fine fantasy, great illustrations.

I read those comments from the Gatekeeper in Frank Nelson’s voice. LOL! Even he looked shocked when his much “hotter” counterpart popped into the last frame. Great artwork!

A very subtle way to tell us that Walt has finally died at age 117. Well done!

We’ve been expecting it for a long time and Jim has warned us repeatedly over the years that it has to happen. Now it looks like it finally has happened. However, it may turn out that Walt is dreaming. A story arc may be on its way.

If Walt has died, it is probably because his grandson Chipper was treating him. As we saw yesterday, Chipper isn’t capable of recognizing that someone who was knocked unconscious had suffered a concussion, so he probably also isn’t capable of recognizing that Walt’s “indigestion” was actually a heart attack.

I hope Walt will stay around another 100 years! Good to see Frank Nelson(s) again!

I think Jim was pulling our leg, it’s a dream. Chip is in the clear. You can still bruise your head and “not” have a concussion fortunately for Scruffy. Why Jim has introduced a new family and not pick up a story arc for established characters you’ll have to ask him.

If Frank Nelson is at the gate, its probably Hell disguised as Heaven.

It’s a fantasy as shown by the cow jumping over the moon.

If it’s real, it’s about time. In fact, it’s long overdue. If it’s a dream, don’t toy with us, Jim.

The singular form is “millennium.” “Millennia” is plural.

It wouldn’t be the first time Walt’s death was teased; heck, Jim left it ambiguous for a full fortnight before confirming it was Phyllis who’d died, not Walt.

I won’t believe it until I see the funeral.

He’s a ghost for he missed the golden column of light so he has to wait a year to try again. IN the mean time he can wander around though most people will never see or hear him. You would need at least a necrophone to hear him. Unless a human is around who had been so deeply shocked and traumatized that vestigial organs are activated in his brain allowing you to see them as pale blue glowing jelly like ghosts and “hear” them too. You can too if you watch the film “The Frighteners” (1995).
