So who NEEDS an EV truck? Serious question. Amurkuns are totally weird about their love of big (ahem) honkin’ trucks, but about 80% (I’m making up the number) use the bed of the truck for its intended purpose so seldom that it would be far less expensive to rent one when it’s needed.
MY home charging station cost less than 10% of that silly price. I am able to wire it into my 220V circuit, so no labor costs, but even if I paid someone $1000, I’d be at $2000 or less.
If you are gormless enough to try a road trip with an EV without planning where you’ll charge it, you DESERVE to enjoy your stay by the side of the road. I suggest you get AAA with the EV rider. Oh, and thumbing a ride? Seriously?? Where’s your freakin’ phone??
