Yep, Let’s Go Green Brandon!! Only trouble is we won’t have the source to generate the needed electricity nor the ability to transmit it for many years and only at tremendous cost.
Sources? Nuclear? Yeah that is soooo green Windmills? Already killing birds and whales. Who needs them. Solar Farms? Oh yeah, we just don’t have any data on the environmental impact on plants and animals when we shade large amount of earth. (They don’t work too well in extreme cold or on cloudy days making them less than dependable for power.Hydro-Electric? Sorry, the US Army Corps of Engineers ruled amny years ago that there were no more environmentally acceptable places for hydro electric dams. Seems when dams are too close together, the water cannot release the nitrogen it picks up coming over the spillways etc. The water becomes super-nitrogenated and the fish die a horrible death.
Well lets just force people to abandon their gas stoves and water heaters, etc. Well what will we use. More electric devices. But wait, electric vehicles do not have the needed range. EV Pickup trucks are doing horrible trying to pull loads. And the range of an EV suffers dramatically when it gets cold. (Ask any photographer about battery life of batteries outdoors in the very cold weather.)
Keep drinking that Green Kool-Aid, it will all work out someday in the sweet by and by. Just keep waving your hands in the air, clicking your heels and chanting, “Just give it time and it will work”. And someday it will, but in the meantime, 2035 time requirements are first class insane.
